Course content
The Architectural Photography course content, provides the students with an introduction to this new visual vocabulary, through an initially historical and theoretical approach. While in the process of understanding the complex relations between the man-made (built) environment and its depiction, the students are asked to recognise the variety of social, political and economical, conditions that form conteporary architecture and the way its visually perceived. After a number of seminars that deal with the theoretical and technical issues concerning the art of photography and architecture, the students are, then asked to perform two practise-based projects, each lasting four weeks. Through photographic practise, then gradually embrace the collaboration between theory and craftsmanship, form and function, and last bunt not least, artist and his/hers public.
There will be a photographic exercise which will take place on saturday morning & saturday evening, more information on that will be provided on the seminar first day.
